The Ekokem’s Board of Directors has selected Karri Kaitue (LL. Lic.) as the new CEO of the Ekokem Group. Karri Kaitue has a strong and international background in business life as he has previously worked as the Deputy Chief Officer of Outokumpu Oyj (2005-2011) and has served on the board of directors of several companies such as Capman Oyj, Cargotec Oyj, Outotec Oyj, Okmetic Oyj, Ekokem Oyj and Destia Oy.
The current CEO Timo Piekkari leaves the company at his own request to turn to other professional activities such as diverse board memberships.
“Timo Piekkari has acted as the CEO of Ekokem for six years. During that time, the company’s net sales have doubled and the operating profit has quintupled. Timo has led Ekokem to become an international environmental full service provider. I want to thank Timo for the successful work he has carried out at Ekokem’s service.”, says Juha Vanhainen, the Chairman of the Board of Ekokem’s Board of Directors.
